Unable to Run On DS413 PPC

Hy, I have Ds413 Synology ppc and Im tryng to install the emby-server-synology-mono_4.9.0.28_ppc, but seems the same occurs with emby-server-synology-mono_4.8.8.0_ppc).

After the manual installation the server is stopped and if you launch the app nothing appens: the icon on the desktop vanishes, the sever is stopped; if you launch again the icon on the desktop reappers but the server is stopped

the web instance (firefox) says it's impossible to connect (but I think it's natural cause the server is not active).

I already rebooted the ds413 and reinstalled on top the emby server nothing happens and the server is always stopped.

The DSM Version is on the attached screenshot

Thanks for ny help

Opening the unique log I noticed something strange regarding the ip addresses: they are reported in the log as reverted: ie

2024-08-07 13:00:25.000 Info NetworkManager: GatewayAddresses: x.y.z.t    The adress in my network system is t.z.y.x
2024-08-07 13:00:25.000 Info NetworkManager: UnicastAddresses: 107.1.168.192,fe80::211:32ff:fe1b:c6d5%2

Hi @Trushembyyes there is an issue with the mono runtime on PPC architecture. We opened an issue last year but haven't heard back:

https://github.com/mono/mono/issues/21658

I think we should be realistic about this. It is a 12 year old NAS and I don't know if we'll be able to support it again.

Thanks for your fast reply. I’m a very realistic one but if there was a so severe issue, I don’t understand why there is a recent standard version at disposition for ppc NAS and above all a newer beta test version for the same ppc server.

If both don’t work they are useless.

Thanks again I don’t know if this thread has to be marked as a solution, after all. If yes let me know and I mark so.

Yea we just haven’t actually removed it yet, plus there’s always the chance of getting lucky when we compile with newer library versions. It’s something we need to reevaluate. Thanks.
