d00zah 149 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 (edited) Emby Server v4.8.8.0 Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10.0.22631 (Win 11 Pro) Framework: .NET 6.0.30 OS/Process: x64/x64 Runtime: C:/Users/wheels/AppData/Roaming/Emby-Server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 8 Yesterday I was working on adding VOD content from my IPTV provider to my library. After converting respective .m3us to .strm, I created a mixed-content library, adding both on demand movies & tv series. Library scan took a log time, as expected, and while the Library View shows signs of having ingested the new content... nothing appears on the Home page. d00zah 149 Posted August 7, 2024 Author Posted August 7, 2024 This isn't going well... here's the log. embyserver.txt Spun up a portable version of the same server to test. Added the same libraries (same location) & everything appears as expected. I now suspect a munged database, but I really don't want to have to re-add my LIVE TV, with manual mapping to Emby guide sources. Hundreds of channels took hours & I'm fairly certain the current backup plugin doesn't cover LIVE TV? I'm hoping something I missed appears in the log & there might be a simple solution? Happy to provide any additional info upon request.
Solution Lessaj 467 Posted August 7, 2024 Solution Posted August 7, 2024 Did you check if your user has access to the library? Even an empty library will still show up if you have permission to it.

I guess that once global access is removed, new additions require admin intervention. Never thought I'd actually access all this VOD stuff from Emby, but it looks good. Thank you very much for your input!
Lessaj 467 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Yes once you limit a user to specific libraries if you add new ones you'll have to add permissions to each user configured as such. You can likely set your user to all libraries and keep it that way.
