Cover-Art: Positioning to the left/right side

I think it would be a good idea if we can place the icons stacked on the left/right side of the poster.

Currently the top/bottom option doesn't fit very well as many posters have the name or other info on that position. The most posters have more space at the left/right side.

Would there also be the possibility to make the icons semi-opaque? In that way like in the example... There is a frame layer and within this semi-opaque layer there is the icon within.

If these were custom overlay icons then you can make them however you like.  But I guess depending on what you have enable on how cluttered them image becomes. 

But the question becomes when the certainly possible future will ever arrive.
