GlenManor 0 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 (edited) Using The Perfect Storm as an example: On my Windows 10 PC in Chrome browser, under Cast & Crew: Diane Lane shows up as playing role of Christina " Chris " Cotter. (Info apparently retrieved from Trakt.tv ) Note spaces before and after Chris. On Apple TV, under Cast & Crew: Diane Lane shows up as playing role of Christina " Chris " Apple TV does not seem to know what to do with a space followed by quotation mark. Thoughts? Edited August 7, 2024 by GlenManor Added photos to illustrate oddity
Happy2Play 9780 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 It would appear the app does not know what to do with html code. So I would question how is it written in the nfo file if you write nfo metadata? But would assume it came from TVDB as there are slight differences in spacing on TVDB and TMDB.
speechles 2055 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 (edited) https://github.com/Kitura/swift-html-entities I think the text string needs to be ran through this wrapper. Presently it is just showing whatever is inside as pure text. Edited August 7, 2024 by speechles
Luke 42077 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 If you use the metadata editor on the media item and edit the person, can you show a screenshot of that? Thanks.
GlenManor 0 Posted August 10, 2024 Author Posted August 10, 2024 Here is a screenshot of one of the items: Is this what you mean?
GlenManor 0 Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 There is an nfo file. I am an amateur, so I do not know how it was created but I see in it: <actor> <name>Diane Lane</name> <role>Christina " Chris " Cotter</role> <type>Actor</type> </actor> Does that answer any questions?
GlenManor 0 Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 Speechles, Thanks for the suggestion, but I do not know how to run anything through a "wrapper". What am I missing?
polaris70 17 Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 I have the same problem with Apple TV 4K 1
GlenManor 0 Posted August 13, 2024 Author Posted August 13, 2024 Luke, I posted a screenshot in response to your post. Does that show what you wanted to see?
