Mahinepua 81 Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 I'm experiencing the same bug reported at the link below with brightness changes at fixed points on various media. https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/12756 Is anyone else having issues? The new Theater app hopefully fixes the issue.

Mahinepua 81 Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 Hi Luke, I've been away so haven't tried the fix yet. 1
Mahinepua 81 Posted August 18, 2024 Author Posted August 18, 2024 (edited) Hi Luke, yes that's fixed the problem but it turned off hardware acceleration when selecting unset so I added the following which has also resulted in a nice boost to tone mapped brightness without any clipping. I tried a few target-peak numbers and 100 looked the best. EDIT: target-peak=auto also looks good. Very happy with the result, I always thought Theater tone mapping was a bit dimmer than potplayer or kodi now it looks identical. hdr-compute-peak=no hwdec=d3d11va-copy d3d11-adapter=NVIDIA target-peak=100 Edited August 18, 2024 by Mahinepua 1
