podonnell 47 Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Hi, I have a series that I'd like to prevent from showing up in 'next up'. It's a show that just has random episodes and not really a continuous plot. Would prefer to not see it always in next up as if I need to watch the next episode. Is there any way to tell a specific series to ignore what is next? I know that I could achieve this by marking the entire series as watched, but I'd like to be able to keep track of what I have actually watched. Thanks for any ideas.
Neminem 1519 Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 You can click the 3 . on the continue watching row. And remove from continue watching. But you will need to do this after each watch.

Umm, no such button for LG as far as I know. Any menu button I've tried opens a TV settings menu. Unless someone that has a modern LG knows another way, I've tried just about every button. The only way to get a menu up for me is to click into the title, which then loads the next screen that has a very similar menu, but is missing the option referenced above.
Luke 42078 Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 OK we'll need to look at supporting the long press context menu in the Emby LG app. Thanks.
Brendon 119 Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 (edited) Hi all, Has this feature been removed?? I cannot find it in the Web UI or the android apps and have not been able to for months, probably prior to this topic starting? Edited January 6, 2025 by Brendon
Luke 42078 Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 HI, it has not been removed. Perhaps it was just never added to that screen. It will be in your home screen continue watching though.

It used to be there once @Lukeit was the only placed i ever used it, i don't use next up on the home screen, only thing on my home screen is the libraries, any chance of getting it back?
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 When i click on the three dot menu on any "Next up" item the resulting menu has "Remove from continue watching" as the last item and, since "Next up" is just a slightly different form of "Continue watching" that is the function you are looking for. BTW: I use "legacy next up" rather that the normal next up as I find it better for my use. I hope this helps some.
Brendon 119 Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 Just added next up to the home screen and yes i can see it there but i do feel it would make just as much sense to have the option in the tv libraries, continue watching slider. I'll just have to add next up to the home screen, remove what i want and then remove next up, rather clunky but it will do for now, definitely was in the continue watching menu at one point though, i have never used next up in the home screen in over 10yrs of using emby lol, i used to remove them from continue watching then about a year or so ago it vanished, i just thought it had been removed. Thank you for the fast responses as always guys. 1

Then you can leave it there and just ignore it when you are not using it. That is what i do with "Continue watching" as that row, for me, is nearly useless. I use "My media" and "Next up legacy" 95% of the time but i have a few other rows below that even if I almost never use them. It causes no problem to have extra rows if they are not used.
