NerfHerder 4 Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Due to a (now resolved) permissions issue, the majority of my metadata images are not actually stored in my media library. I have the setting toggled on in Emby, but for a long time, Emby only had Read access to the library, so the metadata/images weren't actually being stored there. I'm not sure exactly where it's currently being stored. Is there any way of making Emby migrate this data to the library folders? I'm planning on migrating to a new machine soon, and would like to be able to transfer everything over without losing all of my metadata and custom images/media!
Luke 42077 Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Hi, there isn't a way to migrate, but what you can do is refresh metadata and check the box to replace existing images. Existing images will be removed and new ones will be obtained using your newer settings.

I guess I could somehow copy just the images/metadata that are stored in the correct place to another location for the time being and copy them back over so at least it's not the entire media library's worth that needs fixing! 1

Correct, there is currently no way. I know it would be nice to have one, but as of right now there isn't.
