Happy2Play 9780 Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Guess that depends on your user settings as Connect can still get to that screen by signing out as it does not sign out of Connect it signs out the Local user. But not sure of your issue as I have connected to users today to a HTTP server via Connect. Roku and ET 3.0.20. 1 1

I should be the only admin/host Happy provided the correct answer here. Users should be connecting to your WAN, and there are options to control whether they see other accounts on the landing page or not. 1

They should all be like guest on the platform and my server, that is how I am understanding it At the same time you are just asking for trouble from anyone snooping your server. 1 1

If I should be giving all my users my WAN, why does a server called EMBY with my LAN address under it appear after they enter their connect details and PIN ? So I give them the WAN and check all the boxes in your screenshot, that prevents them from seeing and accessing other connect accounts. Maybe that is causing the confusion, but if a user is supposed to connect with emby connect, why must I give my WAN and why must they setup the server manually. What is the point of emby connect at all ?

Connect is completely optional but all the same requirements of remote access apply to Connect and Direct WAN access. I have no idea on your issue as if I login to connect I see my servers WAN address as it is Remote to me. If I connect with Connect and the server is local to me I see LAN address. Actually it will try both, but will end up on the WAN address after the LAN attempt fails.
Luke 42077 Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 @leshkraven Are you still having an issue with this?
