Neminem 1516 Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 But as always supply Emby server logs, otherwise it will be otter guess work.
ianmcleish 4 Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 Thanks, I'll try that, but quick one- will deleti g the app data folder delete all my settings? Movies files TV shows etc? Will this be starting afresh?

Neminem 1516 Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 The logs from you have / had issues, we should be able to see permission issues in the logs.
ianmcleish 4 Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 Hi, I did start another thread on this in General Emby as I wasn't sure where to put the request. I uploaded logs there.
Neminem 1516 Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 When you switched to 99 100 2 did you look at permissions of you emby docker appdata folders.
Kolobokk 1 Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 I've searched all over and was unable to find a fix to an issue I was encountering with collections of photos not showing their items, but I found a workaround I wanted to share. I’m using UnRAID so posted it here in this thread. I’ve never used Emby before or on other platforms, so not sure if this happens on other platforms. On my setup, Photo Collections don’t show their items when you select them. The items are there and can be viewed in order or randomly, but no list of thumbnails appear. See screenshots to see what I’m trying to explain. My Configuration · Emby 4.8.10.0 from linuxserver repository running in docker on unRAID. · Contains Photos in a single share · Folder structure is quite deep (genre, date, category, names, events, etc...) I'm a little OCD and still use folders to organize (I miss Picassa!) My Issue: I collected favorite photos I wanted to show into playlists, but the display of them on TV didn’t work as I wanted (seems to work better if the playlist is all videos). I was messing around and then grouped them into collections. This worked great for showing on TV, etc. but some collections would show their contents and others would not. (screenshot below to explain) Basically, all but one of my collections did not have the list of items under them. They would still play, but I could not dop any edits (remove from collection, etc.) Luckily one collection did have a list, so I started digging into the sqllite DB and into metadata to see why this one particular collection "worked" and others did not. It turns out the folder that "worked" contained an empty folder (a mistake I assume I added at some point to the collection). I added this empty folder to all the other collections and voila they all worked as expected. It adds an extra item to the collection. I named it something like zzzzz so it comes at the end (otherwise it messes up the sequencing, e.g. you click on one picture and a different one opens!) A Collection of 14 Photos - The “broken” way Only shows the image I set as the main cover image A Collection 14 Photos plus an empty folder Shows all the 14 images below the main folder. 1
KRONZO 20 Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 anyone know how to get 24 hour clock on emby server running on unraid. U8nraid runs on 24 hour clock timezone copenhagen and variable for timezone set in emby docker, but i stil get 12 hour clock
Kolobokk 1 Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Not that it helps - I don't know. I assumed it would be in the regional settings on the Emby server, but didn't work. I changed my region to somewhere I assumed used 24-hour clock (Lithuania), restarted service, and it remained in 12-hour format. I did not see anywhere else in the settings/configuration. Found a post on emby forums that it's on a todo list for the application, so nothing is wrong with your unraid/docker config. It just does not seem to support...
Neminem 1516 Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 @KRONZOwhat language have you set. 24h 12 am/pm
KRONZO 20 Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 @Neminem Thank you that was it I had Date/time locale set to auto, but im using english language, I set to my own region and it works Tank you 1
1971camaroguy 32 Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 (edited) mediainfo plugin - Has anyone found a good way to run mkvpropedit and mkvtoolnix in Unraid so this tool can access them? Unraid seems to be more an issue than unbuntu or even windows because of the way it is built. I'd really like to get this going, in the past I had to run a 2nd emby installation on a windows machine bare bones just to use this plugin while keeping my primary installation on the unraid server. socbutter 5 Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 I am getting execution error 403 when I start EMBY. Accessing via IP I get the following message There was an error processing the request. Please try again later. Before I start deleting and creating a new docker (binhex-emby) I would appreciate guidance. I use an NVIDIA SHIELD PRO as my streamer of choice. I have try restarting without any success. Furthermore, I have the files: Emby Server Databases - 2025-10-20 00.10.7 and embyserver-backup-full Thank you in advance. embyserver.txt logterminal-binhex-emby.log

What happens if you reboot the unraid server?
socbutter 5 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 (edited) Try restarting the docker container. Same result. Rebooted the Unraid server and got the following message: Docker Service failed to start. Tried to restart Docker in settings without success. Should I have first deleted the disk file? Neminem 1516 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 (edited) What size is you docker vdisk? And whats the usage. Edited October 21, 2025 by Neminem
socbutter 5 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 I googled unraid docker service failed to start and followed the steps outline. I ended with Delete and Recreate Docker Image Then added all containers in UNRAID In Emby, I restored embyserver-backup-full plus scheduled a scan media library Emby is now running! 1
HrtAttK 0 Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 Has anyone gotten remote access to work with Xfinity, NGINX Proxy Manager? The logs for the Xfi equipment is non-existent as far as I can tell and so if NPM. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Using NPM with Let's Encrypt for automated certificate management.

Hi @HrtAttKdid you figure this out? Have you taken a look at this?
HrtAttK 0 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 Thanks Luke! I have made some headway but think I'm stuck at my router. I have an xfinity XB8? Trying to get port forwarding and the like to work has been a nightmare. Going to try cloudflare tunnels as the article suggests and see how it goes....stay tuned!

You should just switch to caddy v2 as it's easier then NPM for a begginer. You just make sure port 443 on the router points to the destination IP that is your caddy/npm instance for port forwarding Just fyi using cloud flare tunnels from streaming is against TOS for cloudflare Edited November 29, 2025 by guunter
HrtAttK 0 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 I don't believe I have an issue with NPM but my provider's router. I seem to have an issue with opening port on the XB8.

I would like some help with this as well. I'm currently running version 4.9.1.90 from the official repository on UnRAID Docker and noticed the "Media Toolbox" tab under advanced settings. I have both the MediaInfo and MKVtoolnix Dockers installed, though I suspect they are both the gui versions since I am unable to locate the executables the Toolbox is looking for. There is also no Docker available for BIFtool. I am a novice at best when it comes to Linux command lines and docker configurations, but If someone could just guide me a bit with a "download this to this location" "and "run this command line prompt" I'd sure appreciate it and my nearly 400 4K movies would be thankful as well!
gthrift 64 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 If anyone is interested, I've just released an unraid plugin for displaying active streams on your unraid dashboard. I'd love some feedback.
