Kevster1968 3 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Hi just done a fresh new install on a new pc with unraid with the new version 4.3.9.0......all movies and TV shows loaded correctly all movie collections loaded but no posters at all for collection posters and no background for collections either..... Very strange any ideas anyone, I've got the tick box ticked for collections in movie library? I've used unraid and emby I might add and never a problem.
Kevster1968 3 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 OK I've got around this by multi selecting all collections then refresh all metadata and all posters and backgrounds in collections have come up.... 1

I'm currently running version 4.9.1.90 from the official repository on UnRAID Docker and noticed the "Media Toolbox" tab under advanced settings. I have both the MediaInfo and MKVtoolnix Dockers installed, though I suspect they are both the gui versions since I am unable to locate the executables the Toolbox is looking for. There is also no Docker available for BIFtool. I am a novice at best when it comes to Linux command lines and docker configurations, but If someone could just guide me a bit with a "download this to this location" "and "run this command line prompt" I'd sure appreciate it and my nearly 400 4K movies would be thankful as well! Bump. Anything at all to suggest on this?

While it's an absolute powerhouse of a server setup, it's main limitation is that everything must be run in docker containers. So you run into that issue. I can take a spin on my unRAID machine tonight and see if I can figure something out though to get it up and running if at all possible.

Havn't read the rest of the thread so sorry if it has been mentioned already. Unraid also has a rather good VM system if needed and you don't like docker containers.

I was speaking just within the unRAID OS though with it's limitations, but def a VM would be a good test on it.
Coxeroni 27 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Is QuickSync working for any of you? Neither in stable nor in beta does it seem to work for me
Neminem 1591 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 @CoxeroniYes it works for me. What have you tried? Have you installed " Intel GPU TOP " plugin i unRaid? Have you added the QSV device to your Emby container?
Coxeroni 27 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 @Neminemthanks for your answer. I made my own thread before discovering this general Unraid thread: I installed IGPU TOP and I see no action there... 1

Neither in stable nor in beta does it seem to work for me @Coxeroni To enable QuickSync via unraid: go to docker container and edit, then toggle advance view (top right there is a toggle that says "basic view") and in "extra parameters:" copy and paste --device=/dev/dri then click apply, and you'll see it in transcoding via Emby server settings. if you need any help with unraid just send me a message, my entire setup is this. Coxeroni 27 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Thanks for your input. I tried with the extra parameter and still no success. As you can see in my own thread that I linked, the device is passed through fine as shown by the hardware detection log. Emby is just not using it. In my desperation I even spun up the linuxserver image, with the same result. As it is also working fine for any other container, this has to be an emby specific issue. Maybe someone from emby needs to chime in, @Lukemaybe?
