cncb 25 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I shut down Emby server, moved the metadata cache folder to a different drive, started Emby server and modified the Cache path setting appropriately. I restarted Emby server and now most of the images for my movies and people are not displayed in Emby. I even tried to do a Refresh Metadata on some of them, and even though I can see all the images in the cache path, they are still not displayed in Emby. Is there something else I need to do? Thanks.
Lessaj 467 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Did you run the "Scan Metadata Folder" task after you changed the path?
cncb 25 Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 Just tried running that task, restarted Emby server, and images still not displayed.
ebr 16184 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Luke can confirm but I don't think we fully support what you are trying to do. We support changing the cache location but not necessarily with all the existing cache data as I believe those paths are going to be in the database already. My suggestion would be to delete the image cache contents, then do a scan and let it rebuild. 1
Luke 42079 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Well is it the cache or metadata folder that you changed? They are two separate things not the same thing.
Luke 42079 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 OK let’s look at an example of your issue: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
cncb 25 Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 I found the "Metadata path" setting and changed it there also. Then ran the Scan Metadata Folder task and now see all the artwork. Thanks.
Luke 42079 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 If that's the case then it sounds like you may have confused the two when you made the changes.
