Well for example you could go to your server machine first and pull up the Emby web interface, then go to your LG.

The Emby web interface is working, server is running on laptop, but when i try connect with my Emby app on my LG smart to it says "Unable to reach server"

Since this is within your LAN can other devices connect to Emby as this sounds like a firewall issue.

On the Windows 10 laptop what is the connection type Public or Private as the is a common issue affecting Firewall.

Open Network and Internet setting, what does it show for network type?

Are you all set now?  As this is a Windows default change especially in W11.

If not we will need to look at your firewall rules for Emby.

restarted tv and still cant connect to emby

Okay let start over here.

Please delete Emby firewall rules.

Ensure notifications are enabled for firewall changes

Shutdown Emby and go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\config\system.xml

Change <IsPortAuthorized>true</IsPortAuthorized> to <IsPortAuthorized>false</IsPortAuthorized> and save

Start Emby and should see firewall pop-ups.

I just click Windows key and type Firewall, enter then click change Notifications settings.

Looks correct but that is really all that will block LAN connections.  Everything is on the same LAN network correct ie 192.168.3.x?
