TugboatBill 16 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 I have several shares for media, IE TVShows1Host/share/TVShows1 and TV_ShowsHost/volume1/TV_Shows. If I move a show folder from TV_ShowsHost/volume1/TV_Shows to TVShows1Host/share/TVShows1 in Libreelec the show appears twice. Is this expected behavior? It seems to me that Kodi is notified if a show is added but not if one is deleted.

TugboatBill 16 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 I've been moving data around multiple NAS so I've seen it multiple times. EG movie The Shawshank Redemption on /nas/share/Movies1. It shows in Kodi fine as well as Emby. Movies in Emby has 2 source folders, /nas/share/Movies1 and /nas/share2/Movies2. I use the shared network folder method for each source folder. I then move it to /nas/share2/Movies2 and rescan. Looks good in Emby. I Kodi I see it for both locations . Obviously I cannot play the Movies1 version as it is no longer there. Last night I accidently deleted my main source for my TV shows. I readded the source and Emby started a new scan. After it completed in Kodi I have every TV show twice, each with the same location. Emby looks fine. Repair/update in configuration in the Emby NG app doesn't fix it. The only fix I've found is to delete (IE TV Shows) in the app and then add it.

Which plugin version do you use?
TugboatBill 16 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 I have 4 Libreelec systems and I'm seeing this on all of them. 2 are PRi4, one is a NUC, and one is a regular Intel MB PC. I think I'm running 9.4.12. B1 on the Intel MB PC, I can check when I get home from work. Here's the kodi.log from the Intel MB PC. This is just after TV_ShowsHost was accidently deleted and then added back in Emby. 01_KODI.log

Your log is quite big, yes I see endless updates, including all data from July. I found one (harmless) issue, but review not finished yet. btw, you are on version 10.0.44 which is fine.
quickmic 1703 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Did you install Kodi companion on Emby server?
TugboatBill 16 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 Yes, I've done a complete DB reset on all of the systems at one time or another. One of the RPI4 systems replaces a NUC that failed. The old NUC had the same issue. The RPIs are on the latest version of Libreelec and the remaining NUC/Intel MB PC are on a prior version.
TugboatBill 16 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 No to the Kodi Companion. Could that be the cause?
TugboatBill 16 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 I do have more than one profile in Emby, but only use one for Kodi.
quickmic 1703 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 (edited) 3 minutes ago, TugboatBill said: No to the Kodi Companion. Could that be the cause? Yes. Kodi companion keeps track of deleted content while Kodi is power off/standby/disconnected etc. According to you log, this was the case and no content was deleted after you started the box. Only new one was added. That exactly explains what you reported. Edited July 30, 2024 by quickmic
TugboatBill 16 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 Excellent! I'll install it and check it out once I get back home from work.
quickmic 1703 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 (edited) At the moment your database is out of sync. Even an installation of Kodi companion will not repair the issue. You need to trigger a Kodi-plugin database reset (not on Emby server) or you can set the last sync date (in plugin menu) back. I would recommend a database reset on such massive changes. It's probably faster in this case. Edited July 30, 2024 by quickmic
TugboatBill 16 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 Thanks. I'll do that. It's not like I haven't done it before. 1
quickmic 1703 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 or you can set the last sync date (in plugin menu) back. Forget it, it will not work. Kodi companion keeps track of deleted content AFTER you installed it.
TugboatBill 16 Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 Ugh. That didn't go well. Last night I did a database reset. Then added TV Shows, Movies, and Music. Looked at TV Shows and they looked good. Hmm, no Movies or Music. Rebooted again. Removed Movies & Music and then added them back. Still nothing. Did some more resets & reboots. No good. rebooted the server. No change on the client. Looked closer at the server and no Movies or Music??!!?? Checked the OS, folders are there and permissions are right (777, same as TV Shows). Today I removed one of the Movie folders and added it back again. Scan kicked off and now that folder's Movies are showing again in Emby. Looks like I have to re enter all my folders.
