Yamega 1 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 The size of text is incorrect while watching shows on Emby web player. I was watching Horimiya and I noticed the letters are a bit weird but I thought that's just me and I continued, until I reached the ending part and the letter were overlapping with each other making them unreadable and during the episode where there is a lot of text the text would sometimes go off the screen. I tried changing subtitle settings but no luck with that since I'm using ASS subtitles which the subtitle settings don't modify. I also tried playing it on an Android app with same subtitles and it worked correctly.
Luke 42077 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 hi, can you please provide a copy of the .ass file? Thanks.
Yamega 1 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 Alright, here it is, had to take some time to extract it from the mkv Horimiya - S01E01.ass
Luke 42077 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Does the issue happen with the extracted file? If not then we'll need a copy of the video. Thanks.
Yamega 1 Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) Just tested it, it does happen with both embedded and external file but on embedded it's much more visible Could be also the extracted one didn't display how it should because it didn't extract the styles since the font is different on the extracted one, so maybe the issue isn't there on external subs(?) Embedded sub (web player) Extracted sub (web player) Embedded sub (Android player) Extracted sub (Android player) Here's the mkv, had to upload it to Google Drive since it's too large to upload here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1v8_Rtf7vJjOm1hBaxAcAXQRKg6YGiUey/view?usp=drivesdk Edited July 31, 2024 by Yamega typing mistake 1
SDUGoten 1 Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 (edited) On the web player or Android app, is it the case that if subtitle ass files have style like this, I won't be able to enlarge the font size in the player? It is pretty frustrating to use Emby to watch Anime on a TV because the fonts usually are set to pretty small size and I have no way to enlarge the font using Emby web client or Android app. On IOS using ipad, there is no option to do font scaling as well.
