HeroLeam 11 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 hello, there are some tips for sorting folders and so on, usually if you put a “#” in front of the name the folder will be first, and if you want to leave it last you can use some special symbol like an emoji and the folder will be last, but in the creation of libraries on the emby server it doesn't behave that way. Could you give me an idea of how to leave the library created last, regardless of its title?
Lessaj 467 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Is this what you're referring to? Under App Settings -> Home Screen.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Yes specific examples would help but will guess possibly Sort title differences?

No, no, that's up to the user, I'm talking about the server configuration, when creating libraries, in this part of the image, the libraries are in alphabetical order, so as I said it depends on what you put in front of the title, it orders it, in Windows if you put an "emoji" it is always at the last folder.
Lessaj 467 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 (edited) EDIT: Nevermind it is alphabetical, not sure about special characters. Edited July 28, 2024 by Lessaj

That way all the libraries would be in the order that you created them. It works with either just a number, or a number within brackets, as per example below: A downside of this approach is that it could look strange on your home page if the libraries are differently rearranged, as per example below: Maybe #1, #2, etc. would also be an option? Or some other combination of symbols and numbers? YYMMDD date codes could be another way? E.g. 240728 Best wishes for finding a solution that works for you, Cheers! But that's not why, I wanted to leave just a few for the end, the rest would be in alphabetical order.
user24 315 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Ok then, one more suggestion... if you don't want to use "z" to force a few libraries to the end, then you could use an overall prefix emoji system to force all other libraries to the start, while still keeping your overall alphabetical order. Perhaps color-coded emoji squares or circles would work for a consistent view, without too much negative impact on the home screen? I use something similar for Genres and Tags and it works quite well for custom sort ordering.
