HouseOfCards 95 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Good day, I have started to implement the Vantage Point plugin to enable a cinema experience. I think this whole plugin by @Cheesegeezershould be integrated right into the Cinema Intro plugin by default. It's a great addition that solves many issues I've been looking to implement, such as inserting random TV commercials, old newsreels, etc... I hope the development to make things more flexible continues, as I really appreciate the work that went into this. Perhaps a variable that says play *X* number of the intro type every *X* to *Y* plays. So we can randomly have a newsreel inserted between every, say, 3rd to 8th TV episode or something... So it's not every play the whole list of categories plays... Just a thought since that thread is locked for suggestions... But to the topic at hand.... I think if Emby could include an option to suppress the controls from popping up when it's *automatically playing* the next item, it would greatly improve the cinematic experience. For example, if a user is shuffling TV episodes, when automatically playing the next item, it doesn't need to display the controls in that case. This is very apparent when using Cinema Intros or Vantage Point, because trailers or MPAA ratings are short items. So stacking multiple short items together creates a situation of the playback controls popping up constantly at the automatic start of the next item. If we could "disable playback control popups for autoplay", it would make the whole experience so much better with what is hopefully a simple option to implement. Have a great day!
