Sammy 790 Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 I'm looking to update my storage and am looking into MaxDigitalData HDD's. Newegg has a pretty good deal on Refurbs with warranty. I don't have a problem buying refurb gear. As a matter of fact my refurb MoBo is going on 5 years now no problem. I've just not heard of this HDD brand before so I thought I'd ask..
Luke 42077 Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Hi. I usually like to check out storagereview.com for drive suggestions.
RanmaCanada 494 Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 MDD is owned by GoHardDrive, so they are all refurbs. As long as they come with the 5 year warranty that GoHardDrive has, then I don't think it would be a problem. I prefer to get mine from Server Part Deals as they have newer models. MDD drives are usually 5+ years old, but as they are Enterprise drives, they should last..but you never know. I've only had one refurb fail within 40 days of purchase, the rest are still going strong.
