josh4trunks 70 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 im not sure. i checked my system and that library was already installed in the freenas plugin jail (operating system). so my plugin didnt link it because it expected it to be there. possibly there is a newer freenas plugin jail here that no longer includes the library. or that file was somehow deleted in this case. if another person hits this issue here or in the freenas forums i can check if the freenas plugin jail has been changed.
JadedDJay 0 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 @@Malpractis hmm, i didnt know that was a required library. does this command give you an error? /usr/pbi/emby-amd64/bin/ffmpeg i would think this command should fix it ln -s /usr/pbi/emby-amd64/lib/libiconv.so.3 /usr/local/lib I had the same problem, drove me crazy for a week. This happened after I upgraded to Freenas11, but the command fixed it right up. Thanks so much for your help

Has anyone else experienced this yet? So i was complaining recently about slow search times and load times with emby.. i ended up nuking and paving and it resolved all my issues... just wanted to let people know that nuke and pave seems fix slow search and load times and any other little quirks one might experience... this is after a year of staying up to date with all the patches so maybe who knows what builds up causing the slow down. Question Is there a config file i can save that will save user login information and other settings etc when i do that so i dont have to reconfigure everything from scratch? thanks in advance.

Eddie 12 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Don't know if anything has changed but i havent heard good things about FN11 when it first released hopefully things are getting better... one of the/or the main guy has also left the project... hopefully those guys turn it around

stauf 0 Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Hi, new guy here.. at least to Emby.. I wasn't thrilled with Plex and a redo of my FreeNAS rig prompted me to try Emby. Which overall I like, however a couple issues maybe someone could help me with? I have the emby jail plugin installed, version 3.2.20.0 under freenas 9.10U5. Jail storage is setup, filesystem permissions are setup, I use media group, and added emby so permissions shouldn't be an issue. My issues, are pretty much exclusive to the Music section, however one similar issue with the main display is there's no backdrop images, or images for the main Movie/TV/Music tiles. Now, the Music section. Under Albums there are a few without images, just solid colors. When I choose to Identify them, and even use a MusicBrainz ID, the search shows nothing, zip, zilch.. I have one album that even shows the MB links, yet doesn't have an Album cover added, despite there being one on MB. Under Album Artists & Artists, they're all solid color tiles/images, and like above, using a MB ID for the Artist doesn't do anything either.. Lastly, under Genres, its the same solid color tiles.. Now the rub.. If I go to the Album, and choose Edit Image, Add, I can add an image from my local drive and on a page refresh, it shows up.. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? maybe there's an update(?), maybe somethings broken? I'd really love to get it working as I really enjoy the simplicity of everything, yet how detailed the info is and how much is populated. It's excellent imo regarding Movies and TV, and if I can get 'everything' working, I'll add TimeMachine(?) and get everything date correct. I'm hopeful here..... Thank you!

Can you please go through the identify process with an album, and then attach the emby server log? I followed your link to the log files, hosed them, then tried a refresh on an album. It failed due to the request going over port 8080 which I had blocked on the firewall. I opened that up, deleted the metadata and library directory/files and forced a refresh using the scheduled tasks page. Most everything populated correctly. The albums/artists that didn't, had incorrect MB data populated, but at least it was populated. I manually changed the MB ID's for the Artists/Albums and refreshed them each after fixing them. They then populated correctly. *With one exception... I have an album which is part of artist who has several albums, and that one has incorrect mp3id3 data which wrecked everything with it. I manually fixed all three MB IDs for that album, and the other albums by the same artist and refreshed them all by album and as artist. All the albums should open/show when I choose Artist, and they all do, except the one that was screwed up to start with. When I go to the Metadata editor however, all the albums are listed under the artist like I would expect. Any thoughts on this one?
