Eddie 12 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Just updated as well. Thank you guys for the work!
OneHungryPoboy 0 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Just updated this morning and this fixed playback issues I was having as well. thanks Josh and the Emby team!
Jbizzlefosho 1 Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Evening! I was hoping I could get some help with FreeNAS 9.10 and the Emby plugin. I believe I have everything setup correctly, but I'm running into problem when it comes to Live TV recording. I've added the appropriate storage to the jail, the location of my media as well as where I want the recordings to go. I must be missing something because it won't record anything. All that I can gleam from the server logs is that Emby is being denied access, but that is as far as I am able to understand. The latest error occured when I was trying to record Frontline. I've tried doing all of what was posted here to no avail. I must be doing something wrong. Any info would be helpful and I'll gladly answer any additional questions. Thanks! server-63628070400.txt
Luke 42077 Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 Hi @@Jbizzlefosho, yes that's what it looks like. System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "/media/LiveTV/Frontline" is denied. @@Vidman do you have any pointers on write access within freenas?

After deleting and resetting up Emby multiple times, I was able to get Solution 3 to work from the linked website from my previous post. Again, that link is here. Thanks

josh4trunks 70 Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 still have this error 16:39:16 freenas manage.py: [middleware.exceptions:37] [MiddlewareError: There was a problem creating the PBI] the last solution i think is to remove emby and install again but is the last thing i want to do That is not the last solution. There is a method that works quicker then upgrading though it takes a few steps. upload a PBI for another plugin (like resilio) to the emby jail - https://download.freenas.org/plugins/9/x64/resilio-2.4.4-amd64.pbi stop emby delete emby (this will not delete your metadata in /var/db/emby in the jail) upload the PBI for emby - https://download.freenas.org/plugins/9/x64/emby-3.2.13.0-amd64.pbi start emby (optionally) delete resilio
evox 7 Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 thank you, worked sort of but i don't know if i done something wrong i need to reconfigure emby again
josh4trunks 70 Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 you shouldn't need to. did it remember all of your shows? maybe you didn't upload the PBIs on the Jails tab
evox 7 Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 No so big problem i had a backup but thanks for your help. Enviado do meu SM-G955F através de Tapatalk
josh4trunks 70 Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 if you have a backup of your jail, all you need is to restore /var/db/emby
Hisma 15 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 just here to say that the transition from freenas 9.10 to freenas 11 RC went smoothly, emby still works perfectly. Upgraded to the latest version for posterity, but overall, very happy. Can't say the same for all my other plugins (sabnzbd & crashplan both died in the upgrade). good work josh & whoever else makes sure this all works smoothly!
Eddie 12 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I thought FN11 got rid of plugins... how is it still working?
bluemonkey07 590 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Not yet, maybe when docker is reimplemented and working well
Malpractis 1 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Hey guys I've just set up Emby 3.2.15.0 as a plugin in Freenas 9.10.2-U3. I'm pretty sure all the permissions are working as Emby is able to move and rename files and hasn't had any issues importing the library or anything. However I am unable to play any of the video files I'm getting this: Shared object "libiconv.so.3" not found, required by "libavcodec.so.56" I would very much appreciate some help .
