Hi everyone. Some troubles with the plugin version 3.0.8300.0. Both my TV's can't see the Emby server. But all devices can see PowerDVD DLNA. I am update the plugin to version 3.0.8500.0. And that not solve the problem. I tried to remove and re-mark the checkbox DLNA but it did not help. Please help me to solve the problem :о)

Hi, we're sorry to hear about this. What checkbox exactly do you mean? Thanks !

Found it thanks!

i noticed "place favorite channel at the beginning" was checked... i unchecked it and it resolved my issue.... i don't remember clicking favorite to any of the channels though... maybe that's a bug?

It was currently on sort by channel number not most recently watched channel at the top...

maybe its confusing most recently watched channel with favorites?

This is for Version 3.0.8300.0

In 3.0.8300 that is the default setting. In 3.0.8500 the default was changed back to the more traditional sort by channel number.

Hi,

I meant the checkbox that enables or disables DLNA server.582f38fe093b5_checkbox.jpg

I can provide log files if needed.

You're saying you can't uncheck it? What browser are you using?

No, I uncheck the checkbox DLNA and restart Freenas. Then  I marked  the checkbox  and restart Freenas again. Browser - last firefox. In my case all work fine but only DLNA Server don't work..

I solved my problem. Installed plug-in version 3.0.8500. I turn off  the plugin with Emby, and then shutdown Freenas server. After that  I start Freenas server and when it's start, I enable the plugin with Emby. After few minutes all my devices can see Emby as a dlna server. What was the real problem, I can`t say. But simply turn off and turn on the plugin does not helps.

attachicon.gifLog.txt

Restarted server and navigated folders on PS3 , as soon as entering "movies" server shutdown

This is still happening on 3.1

Tested with ps3 and bravia TV (2013 I think)

Just gonna chime in with....

I have fixed many problems in Emby with a nuke and pave approach.... don't know if that is an option for you but worth trying if you haven't....

Hi guys,

Just a quick question to know how often do you upgrade the FREENAS plugin vs the Windows server. I worked with the Windows server before and it was updating alone but not the FreeNAS plugin. BTW, the FreeNAS plugin works flawlessly just like the Windows server. Just didn't automatic update but it is not a big deal.

Thanks all for your work.

I update the FreeNAS plugin when I have a chance. if there any major issues/features just tell me and I try to make sure to get an updated build out within a few days.

unfortunately we don't have automatic updating on FreeBSD/FreeNAS.

The FreeNAS plugin will never update automatically... need to access FreeNAS server go to plugins.. turn off the plugin... click the update button and not touch the browser while it updates it can take up to 20 min sometimes for me so be patient... it typically lags behind the windows update around 1 to 2 weeks sometimes

Yes, the auto-update feature is specifically disabled in FreeBSD and FreeNAS, as they use their own package management software. The only reason it lags behind by a week or 2 is because it is a manual process for us to push the updated version to the package repositories (me for FreeBSD and @@josh4trunks for FreeNAS).

this time is emby taking more time to update, i hope is everything good with you guys. i was thinking how we can help to improve the time to update on freenas and don't wait so long as in the others plataforms.

Hi evox. Things are going relatively well on my side. I like to be up to date with the latest improvement but I understand the culprit of always compile this manually. So, no rush, do what you have to do!!

good to know you are going well, if more people can help or if you need help doing something, let me know. I can help where i can.

In the future this should not be a big deal... freenas is going to use docker so Emby should be directly updating it for you

I built the update for version 3.1.2 and it should be in the FreeNAS plugin repo within 24 hours.

Is it there? I didn't yet see this update still currently running on 3.1.0!?
