I Broke It

I thought I was just removing the Live TV option but obviously did it the wrong way.  I most likely somehow deleted the tuner source or guide data. I have been trying to follow the instructions set forth on how to program the HDHomeRun or the M3U servers but I have no idea where to look for the file links to put back the Live TV channels it came with. Can someone please point me to links I need. Thanks!

Hi, try going to Emby Live TV setup:

Live TV Setup

Then click Add Tuner Source. From here you can add your HDHR and/or M3U, one at a time. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Luke I have gone through the TV Setup from the link you provided. I did notice that after I add the TV Guide I did not get a green bar. I tried multiple zip codes as well.  There are no channels listed on the stations page.

Also just want to note that users have permissions.

What tuner source did you add?

I tried both, keeping in mind I am just trying to find my way through this.

For HD Homerun, I don't have a physical Homerun device but I thought there might be one built in to Synology DS923+ or a virtual connection to one via Emby. I pointed to the IP for both my NAS and the Emby server on my network.  No success. Not having a Homerun device I didn't know what to expect.

For the M3U I don't have a file to link to so I found the free one listed on GitHub. When I installed it I got a list of channels on the Server Side channel page. When I went to the Emby app the channels did not show on Live TV.  So I get a partial install. I confirmed that Users and Internal User - Emby has permissions. If the native install uses M3U where do I find that file to point too?

Do you think Emby is a streaming service ?

Quick Start

You need to supply your own media.

Being an old man and newbie at the same time is a bad combination. I thought it came with some media but soon found that it didn't, which is fine. But I did try to load the GitHub file and ran into the problem I described where the channels load to the server but not on app side. I granted all the share permissions but wonder if there some TV permissions as well?
