Souround sound on stereo soundbar

Hi Emby-Team,

when playing movies with 5.1 surround sound, the sound is very “muffled”.
My setup: Emby app or (theather), Samsung TV and a 2.1 Teufel Soundbar connected via HDMI. The movie codec is hevc, the sound codec is ac3. When I start the same file via the VLC media player, the sound is much better, it sounds clearer. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or what I could do?
