Im doing the same thing as the original poster and running into the same issue except trying to play the PST stream with the offset just crashes. So looks like it's still a problem in 2024.
Luke 42077 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 @Spexor Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
Spexor 3 Posted July 26, 2024 Author Posted July 26, 2024 Here you go. I replicated it and grabbed the log and screenshot. ffmpeg-transcode-8aec6b25-917d-4d07-98c6-461fbf059352_1.txt

If I use the IPTV plugin and add "http://api.toonamiaftermath.com:3000/est/playlist.m3u8?streamDelay=180&useHttps=true" in it plays instantly with no issue. It only crashes if I use the built in IPTV feature. As far as I can tell the only difference between the EST and PST stream is the added URL arguments for the PST stream. It used to work but at some point it stopped.
Spexor 3 Posted July 27, 2024 Author Posted July 27, 2024 16 hours ago, Luke said: How did you set it up in Emby live TV? I take the .m3u URL from the docker and add it. The other Toonami channels work but they don't have any extra arguments. I just tried directly adding that m3u8 url from my previous post to Emby live TV and strangely enough that worked. So the URL by itself with the arguments works but when trying to play from inside the m3u file with the arguments it doesn't work. If it helps I uploaded the m3u file. ToonamiAftermath.m3u
Luke 42077 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 @Spexorthis m3u is malformed. Notice this: #EXTINF:-0 channel-id="1" tvg-name="Toonami Aftermath EST" tvg-language="en" tvg-country="us" tvg-id"Toonami Aftermath EST" tvg-logo="https://imgur.com/NkYPoLH.png" group-title="Toonami Aftermath", Toonami Aftermath EST Specifically this: tvg-id"Toonami Aftermath EST" It should be: tvg-id="Toonami Aftermath EST" This is only one example and each line should be checked for something similar. Please correct this, then refresh the guide data in Emby Server and try again. Thanks.
Spexor 3 Posted August 7, 2024 Author Posted August 7, 2024 I'm not sure how i'd do that since that m3u is the output of the docker. I can look into it. Thank you for noticing that. 1
Luke 42077 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 You could try saving it as a file and then correcting it, and then importing the file into Emby Server. Granted, the downside of this is that you'll need to update that file manually.
Spexor 3 Posted August 8, 2024 Author Posted August 8, 2024 I can see the error in the python code in the github. I guess I get to learn how to use github and either submit a change or fork it lol. 1

It's not a big deal just annoying.

Amin0Acid 0 Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Hi, I am also encountering this problem too. I have downloaded and manually edited my .m3u8 file to prepend my login arguments for my iptv in the formal "https://username:password@xxxx.tv/XXX.m3u8". This file is confirmed to work in vari ous media players, including VLC. I have sucessfully, inputted this into emby, but when I try to play I get the same error messages as the original user. I have also tried just plain m3u instead of m3u8. I believe that this is caused by emby stripping out the url arguments from the http request. I think so because when I look at my logs I see that the username:password isn't included in the url path? I have attached my logs, with OBSCURED written for anything like usernames or site urls which point back to myself, but shouldn't be an issue for you to help debug. Emby IPTV Logs.txt
