MrBuggie 1 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Hi, Towards the end of an episode, Emby shows a dialogue box at the bottom of the screen with the name of the next episode and a countdown, with the possibility of starting it immediately or cancelling the next episode. Is there any way to move this to the top of the screen instead? It covers the subtitles. It’s not a problem when the episode ends on credits. But I’m currently watching anime with extra content at the end, so I’m watching until the last second. And I have to cancel the next episode so I can actually read the subtitles, and then launch the next episode manually. It’s extremely frustrating. I couldn’t find anything in the options, unless I was just looking in the wrong place?

Single "Back" press should back you out of that dialog with next episode automatically starting, if autoplay enabled.
ebr 16169 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Please let us know if that helps. If it is terribly intrusive, you could also turn off the option to auto queue the episodes.

Oh I didn’t know that. Thanks! I’ll test that out when watching TV tonight no doubt. Though ideally the subtitles and dialogue box wouldn’t be fighting over the use of the bottom of the screen. Wouldn’t it just make more sense to have the dialogue box at the top? Either way, the back button should make it a lot less frustrating. 24 minutes ago, ebr said: Please let us know if that helps. Turning auto queue off would make it slightly less annoying for my current series (if the back button method doesn’t work out for some reason), but would get annoying very quickly for all the others.
MrBuggie 1 Posted July 28, 2024 Author Posted July 28, 2024 So pressing back does work. But it’s still annoying because I don’t necessarily realise I’m at the end of the episode, so I have to hurriedly grab the remote and usually miss a couple of sentences.
