monkeylove 11 Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Subrips also sometimes don't show up in Kodi with Emby addon. However, they show up in the Emby Android app.

Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks! Hello. I found out what happened. The video's H.264 with Dolby 2.0-channel, with subrip. Emby web - subtitles show up Emby Android app - subtitles show up Kodi with Emby addon: no transcoding - subtitles show up Kodi with Emby addon, with transcoding settings: Video - only HEVC, AV1, and MPEG4 turned on (I think this doesn't matter.) Audio - everything turned on except for AC3 and EAC3 If the video is included without metadata, the subtitles will show up. If the video is included with metadata, the subtitles won't show up. Turn on transcoding for AC3 and EAC3 as well, and the subtitle popup appears. The subtitles may or may not show up. I'm trying to upload a sample, but it's 300 MB in size and the system doesn't accept it. I tried zipping the file with max. settings and it barely decreased in size.
quickmic 1703 Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 I put that on the review list for 11.X Maybe you can upload a kodi.log when this happens, I wanna check it's not a serious issue.
