DLNA wont browse artists & album artists

Hi,

Have been using DLNA for a number of years. Recently, my DLNA clients can no longer browse by Artist or Album Artist. They show the artist/album artist when I click on them, but cannot go any further to view songs etc.

Using a DLNA android app to test, I can see that when I click on an artist, I just get the meta data and no songs to browse. See screenshot attached.

Through Emby interface, I can navigate with no issues.

I have disabled/re-enabled DLNA, rescanned the library files but did not resolve the issue.

not sure what you mean Luke, are you meaning how do I get all the metadata?

The app I use to browse (DMS Explorer on Android) just shows it when I click on an artist.

I mean how are you getting to the point of clicking on an artist?

Music>Album Artist>Artist then it normally shows songs and albums from that artist.

Same flow as in Emby itself.

Have you tried bubble upnp on android? It seems to be working just fine with that.

so using bubble upnp, I get to the artists click on any of them and get a message "No Playable Items Found"

Hi, are you still having an issue with this? If so, are you able to try the 4.9 beta server?

Hi Luke, yes was still having issues with the stable version.

I just updated to the latest beta (4.9.0.28) and it is now working again.
