Why do some movies not endup in "Latest Movies" category on frontpage

Sometimes some movies just do not show up there, but I can verify that they have been added to the library by doing a search. Does this happen to anyone else? It happens regulary for me.

What is your Date added behavior for newly added content set to in Settings>Library tab>Advanced?

Hi I tested both of these (see attached image), I had "use file creation date" which I changed now to "Use date scanned into the library", doing that didn't change the list. Should I clear sometihng for effect to take place or? List is basically exactly the same as before change.

And that is the one you want, going forward.

It won't affect existing items as their Date Added is already written as File creation date per your previous settings; you'd have to remove those items out of your Movies root, Scan media library to clear db, move them back and run a Scan again. 

Newly added content will behave as expected.
