johnny9999 0 Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 (edited) I've tried following the downloads page to get the older version of the server app so I can run it on 10.13, but I get an error to say 10.14 is required. This is my first time stepping into the world of Emby so wanted to run it on my old Mac mini to see what it can do. Thanks Edited July 10, 2024 by johnny9999
Luke 42077 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 HI, that's really odd. I don't recall seeing that on my high sierra macbook. In a few days I'll have access to it for testing so I'll see if I can reproduce or not.
Luke 42077 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Hi, yes something must have been updated on our build machine to a newer version, and this ended up forcing a requirement for 10.14+. I apologize for this, but at this point we're not going to be able to build for 10.13 anymore. Thanks.
Die_Fledermaus 1 Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 Okay here is what you can try to do. 1 right click on the Emby Server app in Application folder 2 select show package contents 3 go to the folder called MacOS open it 4 find EmbyServer it will call it a Unix executable, and click on it. this will open a terminal window, just wait a browser tab should launch and Emby Server will start. You will not have the menu bar icon. Hope this helps. 1
