Guest Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I turned on "Metadata Savers: NFO" and "Save artwork into media folders" in the media library settings, but they don't work. The metadata and posters and other images are successfully downloaded in emby, but they are not saved to the media library. The nfo and images that already exist in the media folder can be read by emby, but emby cannot save nfo and images to the media folder. I have tried installing emby server on Docker on NAS and other devices, and the same problem occurs. When I used Windows emby server before, nfo files and images could be saved successfully to the media folder. emby server version:4.8.8.0(Docker)
Luke 42077 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Hi there, please try refreshing the metadata on that title and see if it creates any files. Thanks.
Guest Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I have tried refreshing the metadata, still doesn't work, no nfo or image files are created
Luke 42077 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Then chances are you haven't ensured that Emby Server has write access to your media folders. Let's look at an example to confirm: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Guest Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) I have tried using a local folder and an smb folder as the media library folder, but neither worked. The smb folder has read and write permissions, so there should be no permission issues with the docker container. Edited July 8, 2024 by Sato9494

Guest Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I just installed jellyfin server with docker, connected the same media folder and jellyfin was able to save nfo and image files into the media folder.
Luke 42077 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Did you notice the permission denied error in your log? Is this docker? I would generally suggest to use the local path rather than smb as that will be simpler.
