On my nvidia Shield TV, for some reason I suddenly cannot switch to any of the users as they all appear locked.

However is I access Emby through my smart TV (also running Android TV) I don't have this problem. Nor if I use my phone. What's going on here and how do I fix it?

Hi, they are not locked. There is no such thing as locking a user. That is just an indication that they have a password.

Does this answer your question?

No because they've had a password since the update required each account to have a pin. Those locks don't show up in emby on my smart TV. I also cannot select any of those accounts to use. It says"Unable to switch to [User] with no option to do anything else.

Hi. Please reproduce that and then press that send logs button you see there.

Then come back here and tell me exactly when you did that.

Thanks.

Hi, I just sent this log right now, 8:23 Eastern.

Hi.  Can you tell me exactly how you got to that screen?  Can I please see the server log that corresponds to the app log you sent?

Thanks.

I got to that screen by starting the Emby app on my nvidia Shield TV. Normally when I open the app it prompts for a pin for the last user. This time it went to this screen and I can't do anything.

I will send the server logs later today with I'm at home.

Try a clear data on the app...

Alternately,  go to the Select Server page,  below the list of users pick Manual Login and try that.

I had the same issue with a server this morning.  I changed passwords, which should have triggered it to ask for a new password, but it did not.

Then, as with previous times I have login issues,  use the manual login.  If you want, set the passwords back after you get logged in.

In case anyone is interested, the server log from last night at close to midnight is attached.

I'll try both the suggestions given to see if that works. embyserver-63856080005.txt

I managed to get back in. I used the manual login option. Still a weird thing to happen.
