WickerMan_69 1 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 I have changed the location of my music library from disk1 to disk3, and the playlist I had appears empty. I understand that this is because it is looking for content on disk1. How can I modify the paths of this playlist to point to disk3?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Don't think they can be as userplaylists/collaboration permissions recorded in the database. So I don't know if updating the path in the m3u would actually work. But devs would have to confirm. I am also guessing the m3u files are now blank after moving the media. I know that happens when I have tested this scenario. Hope you have backup for playlists.
Luke 42077 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Hi, you should be able to edit the playlist files and then run a library scan. They’ll be underneath the server data folder.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Just now, Luke said: Hi, you should be able to edit the playlist files and then run a library scan. I guess you have a very limited window here as it has to happen at the same time you move the media. But have not done any extensive testing just moving media and playlist goes blank.
Luke 42077 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Right OK yes. If you have a backup of the playlist files then you could use those as a basis. We need to add a function in the library to change the library path so that the server will take care of everything for you.
WickerMan_69 1 Posted July 2, 2024 Author Posted July 2, 2024 I've already solved it, I downloaded the playlist to my PC from the path it told me it was on, I changed volume1 to volume3 and my songs appeared by magic! Thanks to all! 1
