justinrh 260 Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Emby team, I am telling you about my experience so you can experiment with it and hopefully improve this kind of scenario. Emby was recording a movie from the HDHR. My server box crashed and rebooted. I checked on the recording to see what Emby would do in such an event. I opened Emby and found the movie card on the homepage but no status of being recorded. I checked the tuner (via API) and saw both tuners were sending the channel to the server. This looks like the first stream was not abandoned, and a new stream was started, but Emby did not show anywhere that anything was being recorded. So, I rebooted the HDHR. Then I checked Emby - it showed the movie as being recorded, yet there was no active stream from the tuner. It looks like though Emby did recover and start recording again, the web app did not know it. I confirmed this conclusion by stopping the recording after an hour and saw the recorded portion was only ~6 minutes.
