4.9.0.26 beta: sort order borked again on Android TV

Server: 4.9.0.26 beta (official emby docker)

Android TV App: 2.1.14g

What is the problem?

I keep my clients (ios, web, AndroidTV) set to sort by 'Date Added ↓'. The sort order shown is identical on my ios + web app, but the AndroidTV sorting appears slightly borked. The sort order is mostly correct, but several recently added titles are not at the top of the list like they should be.

What i've tried

rolling back to 4.9.0.25 beta --> fixes issue

Reference to last time something similar happened:

Hi, try setting the sort order again and see how things are after that. Thanks.

I tried that before rolling back. Doesn’t work. Problem persists.

Logged into android tv after 4.9.0.26 beta update. The sort order was no longer sorted by 'Date Added' but my alphabetical order, which i knew was a bad sign since that is what also happened with the 4.9.0.23 beta update several weeks prior... i switched the order back to Data Added again, and quit the app and opened again to confirm the sort order was sticking, which it was, so i thought problem was solved. But then i noticed the sort order with 'Date Added' was not working correctly because several newly added items were not showing. Toggling Date Added filter option did not fix the issue. Gave up and rolled back to 4.9.0.25 which resolved the issue.

Hi.  That sounds like something very different.  Are you sure you didn't have any filters engaged in the view?  Exactly what items weren't showing?

Hi, yes I’m sure. I was able to compare same Android tv filter settings against the iOS and web app to confirm.

Sorry I don’t have the exact items written down and I’m not willing to take time updating again just to check this.  It doesn’t bother me too much especially since I reverted the update. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Without your, or someone else's help, we may never discover the real issue and you may end up dealing with it again in stable so we would appreciate some more investigation.  What you've described so far doesn't sound like a sort issue.
