levest28 3 Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 I am currently in the process of converting my movies library of about 80 movies using the "Mobile" profile, though only about 15 movies are completed so far. I have 2 issues I am experiencing: The first is that for some reason one of my movies shows up as a duplicate now in the Movies view. One of them is the original file, the other is the converted file created by Emby. Both files are stored in the same folder still (I used the "next to original media" option in Emby conversion) The second issue is, last time I tried to use Emby at my friends house, I could not play lots of content before his TV did not support any form of HDR, even the most basic HDR. It's SDR only. I though Emby conversion would convert this to SDR since the main point is to increase compatibility, but the details of the new files in Emby say it's still HDR, so I'm thinking it still won't work on TV's which don't have any form of HDR support? PS, I chose 4mbps option in conversion, so I'm curious why Emby says now it's only 2mbps?
levest28 3 Posted July 4, 2024 Author Posted July 4, 2024 Hi @Luke, sorry to bother, just wondering if you could give me your thoughts? :)
Luke 42080 Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 @levest28when the original file doesn't match multi-version naming conventions, that's when this happens. See our movie naming guide for more details on that: Movie Naming So currently that means you might need to rename files in order for them to be merged, but this is something we plan to look at improving on with the conversion feature. Thanks.
