loki7903 0 Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Hi I am looking for a solution with which I can send messages to registered users server down or upcoming update or about new content added I want it in the emby client, not in email Thank you for your answers
Scott D 69 Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 I haven't tried this myself, but have thought about it in the past. Perhaps an "Intro" could be produced that would play at the beginning of any media that might be played. The timing might be an issue if you are looking to get a quick (timely) message out.
Neminem 1518 Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 ?? Email, sms, discord or phone call. This is a server software for personal use. You should have 1 of the above contact points, right ?
gihayes 47 Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 I use Ombi and use Mass Email notifications to do that.
Amanade3 27 Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Yo can use the telegram plugin and create a telegram channel and it will automatically post on the channel when a new media is added or deleted
Shanefalk 9 Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 I’ve had a similar experience and switching my server to manual updates gave me more control. Just make sure to check the changelog before updating so you know what’s new or changed.

Shanefalk 9 Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 (edited) I noticed smoother streaming and better remote access once I fixed my port forwarding settings and made sure my server had a static IP. In my case, my sip provider also had a setting that was interfering with remote connections, so double-checking that helped too. Had to tweak the firewall settings a bit, but now it's all stable. GrimReaper 4739 Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 @Shanefalkyou were already asked a question by a moderator, it is generaly not advisable to ignore those. That said, to repeat once again: How do any of your posts relate to this particular topic? 1
