Hi all,

It might sound like nitpick in my case (which I'm not meant to), but I wonder if there is a way to "merge folders"?

Here is my setup: I used to have movie library default screen set to be the folder tab, and my movies are categorized into different folders, so that as soon as I click on the library, I can see different categories of movies (which are actually different folders).

Now as I'm runing out of space, I got a secondary NAS and mount the shared folder to the main NAS, I divide my movie collection into two parts and store each part on each NAS. The folder structure is currently like this: NAS1/movie1/Action, Adventure,Comedy..... and NAS2/movie2/Thriller, Romance, Crime .....Now as soon as I click the library I first see two folders: movie1 and movie2 before I can access (half of) my categorized folders.

I wonder if there is a way to "merge folders" so that emby gets to think movie1 and movie2 are one folder and displays all my categorized folders like it used to?  Other methods are also welcome. Thanks!

I think if you adjust your library folders to go separately into each subfolder, then the whole list of subfolders for both moives1 and movies2 should show in Folders view.  It sounds like you set the library to movies1 and movies2 only and that is why you are now seeing those only in folders view.  Try removing movies1 and movies2 and only adding in each subfolder.  This means you might have 20 or more subfolders, but it's only an admin task to set these up like this.  The users should see all the subfolders showing your preferred organizing of your movies and no longer see movies1 and movies2.

I hope that makes sense and actually answers your question.

Thank you, that's definitely a feasible solution. The only drawback is that it requires a lot of time to set up initially  and  the library setting may look messy (due to plenty of library paths), however I will do it this way as it  seems the only way.
