Todd3835 2 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 I was referencing Movie Naming | Emby Documentation . I was having trouble downloading some BR Rips from my server on the android app. They were 22gb each so I'm not surprised. So I figured let's get out Handbrake, re-encode to x265, which got it down to a reasonable 2gb file. However, Emby now shows 2 copies of the movie. I have "The Hunger Games (2012) - 4k.mp4" and "The Hunger Games (2012) - Bluray.mkv". I'm wondering if I'm doing this wrong somehow? As a test, I tried renameing the "Bluray" to "1080p" and still the same issue. I'd like to have different copies of the movies. A compressed, and uncompressed. Is that possible? I did try transcoding in the android app to a lower quality and that also failed. Apologies if this isn't in the proper section. Not sure where to put it.

Todd3835 2 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 Spoiler All movies are in /Movies3/ Both movie files are in: "/Movies3/The Hunger Games (2012)" Am I supposed to have 2 copies separately in the Collections and Movies sections? Trying to determine if it's working as intended, or if when I open it, I'm supposed to choose a version to play.
Solution GrimReaper 4740 Posted June 23, 2024 Solution Posted June 23, 2024 You have your filenames named wrongly. They're not: Quote 36 minutes ago, Todd3835 said: "The Hunger Games (2012) - 4k.mp4" and "The Hunger Games (2012) - Bluray.mkv" but "Hunger Games (2012) - xxx", missing "The". As stated in linked KB article: Quote Each version must begin with the folder name, followed by " - ". Exactly same, not approximately or close enough. Either rename versions to include "The" at the beginning or rename folder to not have it. 1
Todd3835 2 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 Thanks, I figured it was something stupid I was doing
