RanmaCanada 496 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 (edited) I know this has been a topic of contention before with the stupid way tvdb has mythbusters season listed. I have all the files named correctly, and for whatever reason it thought it was Mythbusters Jr. So I deleted the .nfo files et al, and had Emby rescan the TV directory, and now Mythbusters is coming up as blanks. Do I really need to identify every single season manually? Because if I do, it just creates a separate folder for each season and will not put them into one. The server never had this issue before with this show. I am certain an update broke this. Currently running 4.8.8.0. Should I instead be using imdb for each season as it seems whoever is in charge of the tvdb database is a moron. Thanks for your time and help. Edited June 23, 2024 by RanmaCanada fixing pictures
bakes82 167 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 (edited) Works fine when using format for plex and emby /MythBusters/Season 2003/MythBusters 2003 - S2003E01 - Jet Assisted Chevy BTN DVD.mkv Edited June 23, 2024 by bakes82
darkassassin07 652 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Under your tv library settings; what order is your metadata fetchers in? This works for me, using the same folder layout (/Mythbusters/Season <year>/Mythbusters - S<year>E01 - <episodename>.mkv)
Solution Happy2Play 9781 Posted June 23, 2024 Solution Posted June 23, 2024 (edited) Most likely will have to rename your season folders as mentioned but I use SXXXXEYY format also. Or I guess you don't have Merge Series across folders enabled on library and Emby now sees each season as Series folder. Edited June 23, 2024 by Happy2Play
RanmaCanada 496 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 I have tvdb set as first, but as @Happy2Playguessed I do not have Merge Series across folders enabled (due to issues with widescreen and fullscreen copies of series). I have enabled it and will see how things progress.

Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 You could simply take them to the vet. Then they would be "fixed" in no time.
RanmaCanada 496 Posted June 24, 2024 Author Posted June 24, 2024 So turning on that feature has solved it, though I do have to re-identify every single season. Now I have another problem, where entire shows have their poster, but no episodes are listed, even though they are pointed to the right directory and the directory is accessible. I have everything in a TV directory on my UNRAID server, so the fact some shows have data and others do not, while all the content in the directories has not changed, is puzzling.
