Hi, do you have a question regarding something?

I did, but I hit the wrong key and it submitted too soon!

When I play avi files with codec MPEG4 and codec tags DX50 or XVID the video plays something like twice as fast as the audio. It's OK with VLC as the external player, but that doesn't resume or "play all from here" so I'd rather use the built in player. I've a couple of example files (used for the attached log) if that helps.

Regards,

Phil

Avi is an old and rather crappy A/V container and should be wiped off the face of the earth!🥲

So convert them (lossless) to something better like mkv or mp4 !

There are many ways to do this but if you need help just ask...

I know I should, I just thought I'd prefer a solution where someone else does all the work 😀

Emby itself can do that for you. Convert Media

Was going to suggest that.  I guess you could Filter the library by said codec and multi-select all those items and create a convert job.  But would test with say one item to ensure you get a good conversion.

Thanks for the helpful advice. I've converted the offending files, which didn't take as long as I'd feared. Using Original Quality the replacements are a lot smaller than the originals too.
