Chapter Extraction

Hi

I am having a problem with chapter extraction.  I replaced a 1080p copy of a movie with a 2160p copy of a movie in my library by deleting the original one, ran library and metadata scan then copied across the new copy of the movie, which has the same filename.  I waited to see if it would extract the chapter thumbnails but nothing happened.  I even triggered the Thumbnail Image Extraction task to see if it would pick it up but nothing.  The log files show nothing, job only took 1 second to run and log file only shows the following

Is there a problem with thumbnail extraction if I replace a movie with the same movie name in my library?

Have you tried Refreshing Metadata (with Replace images ticked) on that item?

Will give that a shot and see how it goes.

I believe you'll need to remove the .bif file as you used the same filename - emby will just use the existing bif file.

If you delete the bif file, Refresh the library, then do an item Refresh Metadata - emby will regenerate it - and also tonemap the images if the 4K has HDR10.
