Dickydodah! 154 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I'm not sure if this is the normal mode of operation or that there is something wrong. I have two servers in different locations setup that I can access remotley using their own URL's. They are both behind a Caddy reverse proxy. I can access both of them using the Emby Theatre App fine but if I want to switch between servers I always have to enter the URL again as it only remembers the last server I logged into. Is this normal or should I be able to have a list of servers to log into?
darkassassin07 652 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 How was the second server created? Did you happen to copy the system files of the first server to make a backup/mirror?
Dickydodah! 154 Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 It's a fresh install on my sons server. I can connect no problem but I just don't seem to get a list of all the servers I've connected to. When I'm on my own LAN ET instantly connects to my local server as expected. I was wondering where ET caches the connection details as I could wipe it all out and start again.
Luke 42077 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Hi, it does, yes. It will remember more than one server.
Dickydodah! 154 Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 Any idea as to why mine only remembers one, the last one accessed? I've uninstalled the app and checked for any remaining files or registry entries before reinstalling and the result is still the same.

Did you try clicking change server?
Dickydodah! 154 Posted June 19, 2024 Author Posted June 19, 2024 I have two servers, Sever A and Server B for simplicity. 1. I log into Server A and then choose change server. 2. On the Select Server screen there are only three options. Server A, Add Server and Sign in with Emby Connect. 3. I select Add Server and enter the URL and port for Server B. 4. I log into Server B and then choose change server. 5. On the Select Server screen there are only three options. Server B, Add Server and Sign in with Emby Connect. No sign of Server A. I can go round this circle many times and never see two servers available.
Dickydodah! 154 Posted June 19, 2024 Author Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) I have actually seen another strange thing happening after clicking change server. On the odd occasion I see the name of server A with the URL of server B. Is there any unique identifier for a server apart from the URL and Name that I may have accidentaly got in both configs? What should I have in the "Read proxy headers to determine client IP addresses" setting? Currently both servers are set to "only when they contain remote network adresses" Edited June 19, 2024 by Dickydodah!
Dickydodah! 154 Posted June 19, 2024 Author Posted June 19, 2024 I've done some digging and found that server B had some old config leftover from an old install of Emby. I had uninstalled but obviously some bits got left behind. I will wipe it all out and start again, luckily it is a very small server so will be easy. I think this issue could be be down to poor housekeeping on my part 1
