nuentes 41 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 I'm trying to add specific Emby Playlists as widgets for my skin (Arctic Zephyr). However, this doesn't seem to work the way it used to - and bordering on - not working at all. I used to be able to add them pretty easily with v6, I believe. I'm on the latest 9.x now (with Kodi 21). When I search for my playlists, I can't seem to find them as available \Add On\Video Add On\Emby For Kody Next Gen\ in either Dynamic Nodes or Synced Nodes. When I search under \Video Library\Playlist\, I can see the .m3us that get created automatically. However, when I add these as widgets, I only see the name of the movie or episode. No description, thumbnail, or name of series (if it's a show). This is something I use pretty heavily. If I'm doing something wrong, could you please let me know? Or if this feature was removed, is it possible to bring this back?
quickmic 1703 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 That for Kodi works -> m3u playlists. You can try the playlists from dynamic nodes. They are way better, but a bit slower.
nuentes 41 Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 Thanks @quickmic. But as I said before, the playlists don't show up at all under either dynamic or synced nodes. The Playlists node appears, but my playlists don't appear as selectable nodes. See the video. PXL_20240618_171246397.TS.mp4
quickmic 1703 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (edited) Why are not selecting playlist in the playlists nodes (below A-Z)? Edited June 18, 2024 by quickmic
quickmic 1703 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Or is the submenu not opening? I cannot see if you have clicked, looks you are browsing in the node.
nuentes 41 Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 If I select A-Z, it selects that node. There is no submenu. Same with Playlists. In the Emby For Kodi app, the submenu appears.

nuentes 41 Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 I'm on a very clean install. Just did a clean install yesterday, actually. But I found the Nodes Reset option in the settings and tried that, and no change. Works in the app, but not from the skin.
quickmic 1703 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Works perfect with my skin (estuarymodv2). I'll check with you in the next days.
nuentes 41 Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 I just tried video library, and same issue. I'm using "Arctic Zephyr - Reloaded" - it's available in the default Kodi app repo.
quickmic 1703 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 (edited) Ok, seems to be a general issue. Not sure If I can fix it, Kodi doesn't respect subcontent by widget browsing. However the playlist should actually work... I continue review... Edited June 20, 2024 by quickmic
quickmic 1703 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I also checked with "Arctic Zephyr - Reloaded" the playlist selection works fine, as mentioned, subcontent browsing is not supported but I think this is not what you trying. playlist2-2024-06-20_19.13.52.mkv
nuentes 41 Posted June 20, 2024 Author Posted June 20, 2024 Yes, correct - where you got to is the same roadblock that I'm trying to get past. I'm unable to select an individual playlist.

quickmic 1703 Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 I think I found a workaround, not nice but seems to do the job.
quickmic 1703 Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) please try latest beta (10.0.33) nodes reset must be triggered to fix the issue. Edited June 21, 2024 by quickmic
nuentes 41 Posted June 21, 2024 Author Posted June 21, 2024 I just checked the beta repo, and the version I see is 10.1.0

nuentes 41 Posted June 25, 2024 Author Posted June 25, 2024 I updated and reset the nodes, and didn't notice a difference when trying to create a new widget
