The "line" setting means the dynamic range is left alone. There will be very quiet scenes and very loud scenes. You might have to adjust volume to hear the quiet scene then be blown out of the room by the loud scenes.

The "RF" setting compresses the dynamic range. So the very quiet scenes and very loud scenes are normalized. You won't have to adjust the volume knob or be blow out of the room. But it might not sound the same as the theater. Slightly duller.

My client has reset to factory defaults. But it didn't solve it.
