User voting to delete items

Hi, I'm an Emby user.

I would like to propose adding a system for users to delete or mark as unwanted, movies and TV shows.

I imagine it would work like this: every so often, before watching something, a user would see a popup with 3 suggestions from library and they could vote to delete them.

The administrator would then be able to see who voted to delete something and could then remove the item.

This system would help to delete old media to free up disk space.

Why would I delete my copy of purchased / ripped media collection.

If I didn't want the media, I would not have purchased the media.

i guess this could fall under this FR for user voting system.

But personally would not want the devs to spend any time on this.

Can't this be done in Overseer or Ombi?

objectively untrue. my parents ask for me to put stuff on emby for them. i havent watched everything to confirm that the video and audio is good and that i have the right subtitles for my hard of hearing mother.

the correct answer is to go and use one of the already working perfectly designed tools for this - i would recommend jellyseer, the emby and jelly branch of overseer. its far better than Ombi IMO

Did you notice the OP said "TV Shows"?  Maybe they were recorded and not purchased?  Even so, sometimes purchased media isn't so great and you don't want it on the server anymore.

I assume your parents have ways of easily reaching out to you if they have issues.
