issues with music library

So I am going to over simplify this a little to hopefully make it more clear.  I have 2 libraries on my server "all music" and "Favorites" all music is pointing to the folder server\music and favorites is pointing to server\favorites.  In the music folder there are 2 folders one is ACDC and has the entire discography and Alabama which also has the entire discography.  Inside the favorites folder there is also an ACDC and Alabama folder.  inside ACDC though is just the song for those about to rock and hells bells and inside the Alabama folder is just roll on and song of the south.

when I go to the favorites library I see just the 2 artists and the 2 songs for each artist.  Great!  Perfect!  exactly what I want.  however if while inside the favorites library I select genre because I just want to hear Alabama then select shuffle I get every song by Alabama.  Not just the 2 songs that are in server\favorites\alabama.  why? and how do I fix this?

You can make multiple music libraries but really not currently supported with same content/different file extension (ie mp3/flac am media) as they are not really restricted to set libraries and merge all albums/tracks with the same ids.  As music is all tag-based path irrelevant.

so if I changed the genre on the all music files to Rock a and Country a then changed the genre tag on the favorite files to Rock f and country F would that work?

Yes and No.  Yes you can limit the songs row to items with that genre via genre view but albums will just collate the addition info.

Artist view will see them merged also.
