pattang_21 4 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Hi, I have searched through the forum looking for an answer and haven't found a specific one. I have just started using Emby (major props to your guys, it's awesome). I have linked the service to Trakt and noticed that roughly 5 random episodes from different Masterclass Shows were not being recognised on the server. I have scanned the folder multiple times, moved it off the library and back on and tried renaming it but it still does not show up. For context it has shown up on Plex. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Please let me know if you need anymore details from me to further explain what is happening. Thanks in advance. Best Regards.
GrimReaper 4739 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Yeah, specific example would be required: how are your files named and organized, what are you expecting to see that ain't occuring, server log from the time of import. How to Report a Problem
pattang_21 4 Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 Thank you for your prompt response. I will hopefully get all the information in the following: Specific Example TV Show: MasterClass: Massimo Bottura Teaches Modern Italian Cooking Named and organisation: Shown in attached Screenshot. What I am expecting to see: All the episodes from 1-14 What I actuall see: Episodes 3,4 6 and 7 are missing. Screenshot provided. Hopefully the correct server log is attached. If not please let me know what I will need to do to provide the correct one. embyserver.txt
Neminem 1518 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 (edited) Try naming them like this Folder : MasterClass - Massimo Bottura Teaches Modern Italian Cooking (2019) [TvdbId=365726] Season folder: Season 01 Files : MasterClass - Massimo Bottura Teaches Modern Italian Cooking (2019) - S01EXX - Episode name.mp4 And see if that helps TV Naming Edited June 15, 2024 by jaycedk 1

You should rename those as @jaycedksuggested - as S01EXX - or any other supported naming convention of your preference except the one you're currently using or simply remove those Part 1 and Part 2 parts from the name as episode titles are irrelevant anyway. @Lukethough OP's naming convention used should be supported, it appears breaking on having "part x" in the filename in that scenario: Quote Episode naming conventions A number of naming conventions are supported: 02 Episode Name.ext Edited June 15, 2024 by GrimReaper 1
pattang_21 4 Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 Well played fellas. It seems as thought the word Part was breaking the brain of whatever mechanism was searching for the file. The other Masterclass files have that in common as well. Much appreciated. And thanks heaps for the rapid response. Have a great weekend wherever you are in the world 2
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Yes that naming scheme technically should have it owe rule for it to be used as it is potentially only for absolute order. But yes since TV now sees file stacking rule it will be an issue.
