Connection error - This emby server needs to be updated

Hi 
for some unknown reason my emby server stopped working.

I host the emby server on a laptop connected by LAN to a router which both my LG tv are also connected with.

The error I get is "This emby server needs to be updated" with a reference to a download link.
I tried to r reinstall the app on the tv and laptop and both but I'm getting the same result.
I also tried to set my private firewall off and then I got a diffrent message: "We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. please insure it is running and try again".

then I looked over the logs and it seems there is a problem mapping the port, I've also checked my router settings and it seems the port forward for emby server is set correctly.
