lucasbuck 2 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Just making sure. I have a folder named movies with sub folders 'action' different seerie4s', etc. Emby just dumps everything in 'movies'. I've read a lot and assume there's no way to do subfolders at this time. I don't want everything on the home screen.
lucasbuck 2 Posted June 13, 2024 Author Posted June 13, 2024 Better to ask, if it's possible, whats the proper way to do the subfolder setup. Thanks for any help

Happy2Play 9781 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Folder view should give you want you want as yes Movies/TV library will be flattened no matter what your folder structure is. But My Media will only show said library but sounds like what you want is not available and have to wait for whenever Smart View/Playlists gets added but as Grim said we would need a specific example to confirm exactly what you want.
lucasbuck 2 Posted June 14, 2024 Author Posted June 14, 2024 For example I would like things such as 'TV', 'Movies', etc. on the home screen. When each are clicked on it shows folders inside lets say 'Movies' In the movie folder there's subfolders like Drama, Comedy, etc. After clicking on 'Movies' it doesn't show the subfolders, it's a big list of all the movies within my subfolders. No breakdown into catqgory. movie
GrimReaper 4740 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Have you tried clicking tabs along the top of the screen in your library...? "Genres", *Folders"...? Have you set your libraries landing page (Default screen) in App Settings>Home Screen tab to the preferred tab?
Dickydodah! 154 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Just beat me to it App settings/Home Screen/Movies/default screen/ set to folders
