nahtay 3 Posted June 17, 2024 Author Posted June 17, 2024 I have backups on my old PC in a download folder. Completely separate from my emby directories. I'm simply trying to take that backup and restore it on a new emby server install on a win 11 PC.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 So you install Emby, apply your Premiere key, point the backup/restore plugin to your current backup and Restore the Full backup. That is all there is to it. Then after the restore you need to decide if you want to continue to backup to the location you currently have as it will overwrite your existing full backup or a different one.
nahtay 3 Posted June 17, 2024 Author Posted June 17, 2024 That's the problem. I have done this before with no issue. On the new PC, I have no ability to point the restore to any directory. That option is not there.

So I am confused as this image show the backup it restore is that the wrong computer? What path did you point the plugin to? What is in the path you pointed to? There is really nothing to this. set path where backups exist.
nahtay 3 Posted June 17, 2024 Author Posted June 17, 2024 OK that worked. I had to point to the directory minus the emby folder. Now the only issue is my password won't work.
nahtay 3 Posted June 17, 2024 Author Posted June 17, 2024 I think I'm good now. Thank you very much for your help. 1

So are you sure you are using the correct user and password from old install and not anything from the New Install?
