Changing server to different PC

The backup/restore feature is only showing backup and not restore on my new PC. How can I restore my server from my old PC to new?

What server versions are you backup and trying to restore to?

Latest version of windows Emby version to the same. I tried both downgrading the backup/restore plugin and using the latest. Neither one shows restore on the new PC.

Did you configure the backup path to be a valid path with backups in it? Post a screenshot of the backup and restore page and a screenshot of where the backups are on your file system.

For the new PC, do I need to go through the initial setup where I create a user? Do I use the same user/password as my existing server?

You have no defined backup folder, so that's why there's no option. Set the folder to where your backups are and then you'll be able to restore.

Sorry but it show a Restore option even if not defined.  But should be configured.

What does clicking Restore from Backup show?

No I don't think it does. Never set it up on my test server and there's only a save button.

Restore button does not show up on new install on new PC.

Never looked as it technically is reading a restore from somewhere.  As no path is no restore as you mention.

But obviously correcting the UNDEFINED should resolve the issue.

What happens when you search of just copy and paste path in box?

Not an option. Only a dropdown with no option to change and it also doesn't tell me which directory it's in.

These are the backups that are available underneath your configured backup folder. If you have a different folder containing other backups, then you'll need to reconfigure the plugin backup folder.

It's because it's not restoring anything and I can't tell which directory it's pulling from.

it's the directory you configured in the backup plugin settings. What directory is that?

What are you trying to do as the backup-full is what you want to restore on the new system.  Only other option if configured would be additional databases copies as full backup is one and done so if by chance the full backup has corrupt databases you are sol.  I keep 5 extra copies.
